Not only do I miss prayers now, which never used to be an issue for me, but I don’t even feel a desire in my heart to pray. What’s worse is that I feel ashamed to stand before Allah and I don’t want to face Him. I feel like I’m losing the battle against shayṭān and I can’t seem to stop it from happening. What should I do?\\n\"}]}","answer":"{\"ops\":[{\"insert\":\"The fact that you feel ashamed is itself a sign of iman (faith) and your love for Allah. Hearts that are dead do not feel shame. What you are experiencing now is painful, but it is not a sign that Allah has turned away from you. The most harmful thing you could do is to withdraw from Allah because of this shame. That is exactly what shaytan wants; he wants you to believe you are unworthy so that you stop turning back.\\n\\nAllah never turns away from His servant until the servant turns away from Him. So, keep returning to Him, even if you feel broken, even if you feel empty, even if you can only muster a weak effort. Do not let shaytan convince you that you no longer belong before Allah.\\n\\nAllah’s mercy is always open for the one who seeks it.\\n\\nKeep praying and showing up, even on the days you feel like a hypocrite. Sometimes the heart follows the body: when you stand out of obedience, Allah gradually returns life to the heart.\\n\\nGive yourself some quiet moments to reflect on what has changed in your life: what is pulling you away from that sweetness of faith? What habits, environments, or stressors might be weighing on your spiritual state?\\n\\nSeek good company, people who remind you of Allah without judgment. Take moments in your day for dhikr, even a simple subanAllah repeated with presence.\\n\\nTry to read a small portion of Qur’an daily, even just one page. And let yourself listen to Qur’an and beneficial reminders.\\n\\nIf possible, join a class or circle of knowledge. Being around others who are striving can lift you in ways you don’t notice.\\n\\nMost importantly, do not give up. Your struggle right now is not a sign that you are losing, it's a sign that your heart is still fighting.\\n\\nFor more reading, please see: \"},{\"attributes\":{\"link\":\"https://www.carolinaqa.com/q/66eef13c59583d64fa194f4c\"},\"insert\":\"https://www.carolinaqa.com/q/66eef13c59583d64fa194f4c\"},{\"insert\":\"\\n\"}]}","tags":[{"_id":"668da0320b76658b4c2330a7","tag":"Worship: Tazkiyyah","count":87},{"_id":"668d9fe50b76658b4c232859","tag":"Aqeedah: Allah ﷻ‎","count":66},{"_id":"686c05975bca77ccedff9483","tag":"Health: Mental & Emotional","count":28}],"createdOn":"2025-12-10T16:34:37.169Z"}
