For example, a person is given the opportunity to do the adhan which is a great blessing, but he fears both (1) doing it for the people and (2) refraining from doing it because he fears doing it for the people. One which side would it be better to err? What would be the more cautious thing to do?\\n\"}]}","answer":"{\"ops\":[{\"insert\":\"One should not deprive themselves of the blessings of the adhan out of fear of riya. It is better to perform the adhan while striving to purify your intention, unless you observe within yourself anticipation of praise or disappointment from its absence.\\n\\nAs long as you find within yourself a religious motivation to perform an act, do not abandon it. Strive against the fleeting thoughts of riya, and compel your heart to feel shame before Allah if your nafs inclines you to exchange His praise for the praise of His creation.
