What is there to admire in oneself when it is Allah who has created and made everything beautiful? When we admire something beautiful, we should remind ourselves of its Creator and Fashioner, as He is the one who gave it its form. Therefore, if self-admiration leads to a deeper sense of gratitude and appreciation for the One who made us, then it is not problematic. However, it often leads to arrogance, vanity, and excessive pride, all of which are strongly discouraged in Islam. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) warned against pride, saying, “No one who has an atom’s weight of arrogance in his heart will enter Paradise” (Sahih Muslim).\\n\\nAccording to prophetic teachings, when someone looks at themselves in the mirror, they should say, “O Allah, just as You have perfected my physical form, perfect my character as well.”\\n\"},{\"attributes\":{\"align\":\"right\"},\"insert\":\"اللهم كما حسنت خلقي فحسن خلقي\\n\"},{\"insert\":\"[Narrated by Tabarani, Ibn Hibban, al-Tayalisi]\"}]}","tags":[{"_id":"668da0320b76658b4c2330a7","tag":"Worship: Tazkiyyah","count":87}],"createdOn":"2024-09-28T12:32:26.270Z"}
