So, what the scholars have said about this hadith is that there's a whole backstory that is not mentioned in the narration. The hadith is referring to a specific woman (who worked as a midwife) and not just any woman in general, and it's also referring to a specific girl and not just any girl. There are two interpretations of this hadith, first is that it is referring to the woman who buries the child (the midwife) and the mother of the child that asked the midwife to do it. So the translation is not correct or incomplete. This explanation is perfectly sound and supported by the Arabic language. Other scholars said that if we interpret it to refer to the child, then in order for the Prophet (ﷺ) to say that, Allah must have revealed to him that this particular girl is of the people of Hell. We don't know why, so her case is an exception.\"}]}","tags":[{"_id":"668d9ff70b76658b4c232a80","tag":"Seerah: Sunnah and Hadith","count":68},{"_id":"66e37a185881c5a805ca4d9b","tag":"Newborn","count":4}],"createdOn":"2024-09-12T23:32:40.634Z"}
