I never knew the meaning of the Surahs I recited during prayer. I was taught what was halal and haram, but never knew I could repent or even the meaning of rahman. I felt nothing but fear, shame, guilt and suffocation towards Islam. I was so detached from the religion and felt resentment towards it, so much so that I unfortunately claimed apostasy and considered myself Agnostic, and then Atheist for two years. \"},{\"insert\":\"\\n\\n\"},{\"attributes\":{\"color\":\"#000000\",\"background\":\"transparent\"},\"insert\":\"A couple years ago I opened up the Quran translated in English and I understood that Allah was merciful and that Islam was the truth.
