Or are we supposed to pray for their guidance? Should we just abstain from including them in any dua? For many people, I think it's hard to reconcile the concept that if someone like Netanyahu converts to Islam, he will be forgiven for their sins.\"}]}","answer":"{\"ops\":[{\"insert\":\"We should focus on praying for our fellow Muslims and ourselves. Why should we be concerned about the fate of any particular person in the afterlife? We need to deal with the reality facing us right now in this life before we jump to concerns about people's fate in the next life. Allah alone knows and controls all of that. That being said, the Prophet ﷺ did pray to Allah to assist him against the enemies of God. In a hadith found in both Bukhari (240) and Muslim (1794), the Prophet ﷺ asked Allah to deal with those who had transgressed against the weak Muslims through killing, torture, and all sorts of aggression, particularly after an incident in which they dumped camel guts on him while he was praying near the Ka'bah. Based on this, it is permissible to pray to Allah to deal with those specific individuals causing great harm. We can complain about them directly and leave it to Allah to handle them as He wills. The main goal is for Allah to rid the world of their tyranny, not necessarily to condemn them to Hell. When we ask Allah to send them to Hell, we might not be asking for relief from their actions now. We are essentially saying it's acceptable for them to continue their tyranny, but we want them punished in the hereafter. Instead, following the Prophet's example, we should ask Allah to deal with these tyrants and murderers now and rid the world of their evil in the manner that the All-Wise sees fit. Whether Allah destroys them as He did with some of the leaders of Quraish, guides them to the right path, or brings about others to stop them, it is all according to His divine will. Our supplications should be driven by wisdom, not anger.\"}]}","tags":[{"_id":"668d9fe30b76658b4c232829","tag":"Worship: Dua","count":109},{"_id":"668d9ff70b76658b4c232a80","tag":"Seerah: Sunnah and Hadith","count":68},{"_id":"668d9fde0b76658b4c23277c","tag":"Contemporary Life: Politics","count":35}],"createdOn":"2024-07-09T20:41:30.535Z"}
