Is it when they recognize the beauty of or awrah? What is this age frame? And for women who wear niqab does this ruling apply to removal of niqab as well?","answer":"Prepubescent boys are treated like adult men when it comes to covering awrah in front of them. The age for prepubescent boys is close to 15 years. This is what some scholars have stated without providing an exact age. Other scholars said it's the age that is close to puberty where the boy is interested in females and is capable of having sexual intercourse. This is the strongest opinion according to the Shafi, Hanafi, and Maliki schools. According to the Hanbalis and a weaker opinion in the Shafi school, they're not automatically treated like adult men. Rather, if they show interest in female sexuality/body, then they would be treated as adults, otherwise, as children until they reach puberty. \nWith regards to the niqab, you do not need to wear it in front of them, rather you can take it on a case-by-case basis. Where you see it better to do so to prevent fitna, you should wear it.","tags":[{"_id":"668d9fde0b76658b4c232779","tag":"Women: Modesty","count":60},{"_id":"668d9fde0b76658b4c23277f","tag":"Women: Hijab","count":30}],"createdOn":"2024-07-09T20:40:29.164Z"}
