Would it be permissible to read the Arabic and also look at the translation during prayer (Taraweeh mainly)?","answer":"According to the Shafi'i school of Fiqh, it's allowed to recite from the Mushaf during any prayer, be it obligatory (Fardh) or voluntary (sunnah). Furthermore, silently reading the translation to oneself without vocalizing it is also permissible and does not invalidate the prayer. Imam Nawawi has conveyed this ruling, attributed to Imam Shafi, in his works al-Majmu' and al-Rawdha. However, avoid making this a habit and do this only for taraweeh.","tags":[{"_id":"668d9fef0b76658b4c232985","tag":"Salah: Validity","count":156},{"_id":"668da0170b76658b4c232de6","tag":"Salah: Special & Sunnah","count":69},{"_id":"668d9ffe0b76658b4c232b36","tag":"Salah: Taraweeh","count":23}],"createdOn":"2024-07-09T20:39:52.219Z"}
