I'm talking about someone who’s very old and she’s concerned about maintaining her tahara and proper ablution. Her mind is still very sharp but physically she’s very weak and many times she'll fall asleep in her prayer. She’s almost a hundred masha’Allah and it has become very difficult for her to move around. She has to be cleaned in her bed and the other caregiver may not understand how to give her tahara properly.","answer":"Masha`Allah. May Allah bless and preserve her. As long as one’s mental faculties are sound, one is responsible. Is her concern falling asleep in prayer? If she happens to fall asleep in a sitting position, even during prayer, it doesn't nullify her ablution. Allah (swt), in His mercy, doesn't hold her accountable for things beyond her control. As long as she does what she can—being mindful of the matter and seeking assistance when needed—she can find comfort and need not worry. Additionally, if you're able to, teach the other caregiver about proper cleaning to put our sister's heart and mind at ease.","tags":[{"_id":"668d9fe40b76658b4c232837","tag":"Tahara: Wudu","count":117},{"_id":"668da0000b76658b4c232b6b","tag":"Tahara: Other","count":24}],"createdOn":"2024-07-09T20:39:38.824Z"}
