Would contact with dog saliva require any purification beyond wudu?","answer":"Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, \n\"If a dog drinks from the utensil of anyone of you it is essential to wash it seven times.\"\nIn another hadith, \n\"If a dog licks the vessel of any one of you, let him wash it seven times, the first time with dirt.\"\nAccording to these hadiths, dogs are regarded as impure. If you happen to touch a dog with wet hands, a damp dog rubs against you, or you come into contact with dog saliva, to clean your hands or the affected areas, it is necessary to rinse them under running water seven times, including one instance where you mix dirt with the water. In cases where acquiring dirt is impractical, using soap is an acceptable alternative.\nPlease note that impurity caused by dogs does not invalidate wudu; it only necessitates cleaning the affected areas, as outlined above, prior to performing prayers","tags":[{"_id":"668d9fef0b76658b4c232985","tag":"Salah: Validity","count":156},{"_id":"668d9fe40b76658b4c232837","tag":"Tahara: Wudu","count":117},{"_id":"668d9fe00b76658b4c2327bd","tag":"Tahara: Impurities and Invalidators","count":52},{"_id":"668da0060b76658b4c232c1f","tag":"Dog","count":2}],"createdOn":"2024-07-09T20:39:34.962Z"}
